The Pediatric Emergency Department at Cedar Hill is staffed by board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physicians, pediatricians, nurses and support staff — all trained and dedicated solely to the care of your child. No matter how big or how small the emergency, we provide specialized treatment in a friendly, caring environment. The Pediatric ED features a separate registration, triage and waiting area for children and adolescents. Additional child-focused services include pediatric radiology and lab services.
Children’s National Emergency Department at Cedar Hill provides pediatric emergency medical care for countless injuries and illnesses.

- Asthma and breathing problems

- Broken bones
- Burns
- Cuts and lacerations that may need stitches

Most children seen in our Emergency Department can return home after being treated. If your child requires more extensive care, they may require transfer to the main Children’s National Hospital.
