REACH Program

The Robert H. Parrott Research, Education, Advocacy, and Child Health Care Program is named for a former chair of pediatrics who was an internationally recognized pediatrician, researcher and leader. Residents can apply for the REACH program at the end of their first year. Participants receive a half-day per week of protected research time in the second and third years of training.

CNStARR Program

The CNStARR Program at Children’s National Hospital supports residents committed to academic research careers. Selected through a competitive process, participants integrate 12–24 months of funded research into a four- or five-year residency. CNStARR provides a $20,000 annual stipend for research and career development.
