Ultrasound Pathway

The POCUS Pathway aims to provide pediatric residents the unique opportunity to engage in a multimodal, longitudinal curriculum designed to equip them with the essential knowledge, skills and confidence needed to effectively integrate point-of-care ultrasound into their clinical practice and future careers. • Recognize the applications of POCUS
  • Explain the advantages and limitations of POCUS
  • Perform and interpret POCUS of the following systems: Lungs, CV, Vascular, MSK, GU, OBGYN, Abdomen, Soft tissue, Trauma
  • Perform ultrasound-guided procedures (i.e. IV placement)
  • Correlate clinical findings with associated pathology on POCUS
